I. Research – Identity a completed project that was unsuccessful, and provide the fundamental project management facts: original baseline (initial budget, schedule, and scope), and final cost, completion date, and delivery.
II. Analysis – Using your selected project, from a project management perspective, identify the factors that contributed to the failures of the project. The factors should be directly related to two or more of the project management knowledge areas: Integration Management, Scope Management, Schedule Management, Cost Management, Quality Management, Resource Management, Risk Management, Procurement Management, and Stakeholder Management.
