The nature of the task is students are required to write a 1200-1500 word formal essay which develops a particular line of inquiry of their own choice in connection with a non-literary text, a collection of non-literary texts by one same author or a literary text or work studied during the course.
Explain how essay offers students an opportunity to develop as independent, critical and creative readers, thinkers and writers by exploring a literary or language topic over an extended period of time, refining their ideas by means of a process of planning, drafting and redrafting. The essay requires students to construct a focused, analytical argument examining the work from a broad literary or linguistic perspective. It also requires them to adhere to the formal framework of an academic essay, using citations and references.
The essay is based on the play A Doll’s House where you must in DETAIl answer the question using quotes from the book as evidence to support ALL claims made. Each quote must be thoroughly analyzed and explain why the author used that quote and what is the targeted audience’s response to it. You must FOCUS on GENDER and IDENTITY in this essay.
Identity
The student might be interested in an aspect of the representation of identity of a particular character or group of characters in the text, or on the way in which the text relates to the identity of the writer.
Please use the book and good quotes from it. EVERY point must be supported by a quote from the book and thoroughly analyzed using the PEEKWA structure I have attached below as a file. Please use that to shape each body paragraph. Please make sure to analyse the foils of Nora/Kristine and Torvald/Krogstad while referring to both gender and identity.
Attached is the rubric as well, I aim for the best mark.
You do not need to use many sources just analyze on your own thoroughly.
