Write a paper on the Draft of a scene description analysis.Film has its own vocabulary, so please consult the glossary from our syllabus. This vocabulary describes the grammar of film, the way its pieces fit together. Your descriiption and analysis will describe a brief scene in terms of its mise-en-scene (the relation of objects within the frame), the movement of composition elements, the lighting, the focus and depth of field, the camera movement, the length of individual shots, the editing linking the shots of a scene, and the sound, whether natural or simulated (Foley), dialogue, soundtrack, score, or some combination of these. Clearly, depending on the length of the scene and the degree of detail you engage, these could be many pages long. To make this assignment manageable, plan on a half-page (single-spaced) of thick descriiption, then an equal amount of interpretation of how the scene’s construction shapes its meaning and relates to the overall film and to our class readingSelection Choose an international film not discussed at length in class to which you have ready access. Plan on watching the scene many, many times.
Format Your descriiption and analysis each should be half a page, single spaced. The assignment should be one page single-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman, one inch margins. Use complete, clear, well-organized, and artful sentences and include an introductory and concluding sentence that frames each paragraph. Presume that your reader has not seen the film you have chosen, so begin your first paragraph with a one or two sentence introductory summary of the film. Your analysis should include a brief relevant quote from our reading and mention at least one film we have viewed for class or discussed from the textbook
