1) Select and type out six details from either of our two stories: Interpreter of Maladies OR Mrs. Sens. At least four details should be direct quotations; for all details, you should cite the page number. After each detail, briefly explain what it literally means in its immediate context (in other words, whats going on), and also comment on what the wording might reasonably imply or reveal about the character youre focusing on.
2) Reflect on the commentary you just wrote. What different types of inferences have you assembled? How do they relate to one another? Look for patterns and categories that could help you organize your findings into a coherent argumentative thesis (which could be supported by separate, focused body paragraphs). Write five sentences describing these patterns and categories you are working with.
