Epidemiologic research and findings often receive dramatic media coverage. Find an article in a media source (e.g. from the Internet or in a specific publication such as The New York Times) on a topic related to epidemiology. I have provided some links to news sources below, but you can also Google ″epidemiology news″. In a 1-2 page essay, summarize the findings and discuss how the article illustrates the approach of epidemiology to the study of diseases (health conditions) in populations. Be sure to cite and reference all sources, including your textbook, using 7th Edition APA formatting. References should be on their own page per APA format; this does not count towards the 1 – 2 pages required for the assignment.
