In a prior organization, we utilized the CMMi framework for continuous improvement. This framework encompassed lifecycle management like project management, engineering, quality assurance, and even governance of the framework as key pieces to the framework. The robustness of each of the process areas were depending on what level of framework the organization was trying to implement. Our organization was aiming for a combination of level 3 and 4 depending on the process area, and thus the area of organizational change management was included. This entailed ensure artifacts, like a communication plan template and email templates, were created and available for use to ensure process consistency.
