The introduction section of this paper should include: (1) epidemiological aspects of low back pain highlighting the higher incidence/prevalence/severity/symptomatology in females (vs. males); (2) Clinical and pre-clinical literature covering the efficacy of spinal mobilization on treating LBP (3) The difference between evoked and spontaneous pain & how the Rat Grimace Scale is a valid method for assessing spontaneous pain; (4) The descriiption of the musculoskeletal model of LBP created by Hoheisel and colleagues as well as the recent literature regarding Nerve Growth Factor’s contribution to LBP.
