Write about the points of tension and challenges found within criminal courts in Canada, students will be asked to write a three-page opinion piece on the most problematic point of tension in Canadian criminal court processes. In this reflection, students will also be asked to discuss the broader implications of this tension/challenge (e.g., for the criminal justice system and actors, marginalized groups, policy, access to justice, etc.) and ways to move forward in the future to address this tension/challenge in the court process.
