Design the packaging system (Time Capsule) from your personal experience of the covid- 19 pandemic 2020. What can people learn about you, your perspective and society 3 decades from now? You MUST use the visual identity as part of the packaging system, though it doesn’t necessarily have to be dominant, recognizing and making leeway for the individual differences in the product series. You will create the actual packaging, not just a drawing or graphic representation. Colors, etc. must also be appropriate to the package design system. Do NOT be afraid to take chances on concept or direction.
Minimum Components of the Project:
• Visual Identity: Can be 1-color, 2-color or four color process.
• Package (TC):: Any material, appropriate dimensions and must be designed inside to hold items. So if you have photos or booklet, some type of folder, slip or compartment must be used.
• Graphic Design : The look and feel of the Time capsule and its contents, as extensions of the “Visual Identity”.
• Type + Layout Design : Choosing an appropriate typeface and layout to convey emotion, era, time, and communication.
• Booklet/Zine/Brochure: Must be a minimum of 12 pages with a front & back cover; + an inside front and inside back cover. The cover stock/paper must be a heavier weight.
• The booklet must tell, from your perspective, a story or explain what; “ Under the Mask of Time; 2020; a Covid-19 Story”, was like and how it affected you and may have changed your life for the better or worse.
• The booklet must have a minimum of 12 graphics or photography as a part of each page or spread.
