I. Identification and Overview of Developmental Stage Select one developmental phase and briefly overview what is typical of this time physically, psychologically, and socially. What are normal milestones and events typical to this stage of life? (i.e. Infancy and Childhood, Adolescence) II. Specific Issue Select one issue or topic or issue that could potentially impact this stage and discuss, including an overview of the issue, its causes, etc. (i.e., Teenage drug abuse, child abuse, abortion, adoption, infertility, eating disorders, mental illness, crime/juvenile delinquency, ADHD, autism, HIV/AIDS, date rape, drug-addicted infants, sexual orientation, death and dying, suicide, domestic violence, gangs, civil unions, gay and lesbian parents, etc.) You must use at least three outside references to support your work, using Social Work journals and books. No internet or Wikipedia as references. III. Bio-psycho-social-Analysis Analyze the selected topic or issue identified in section II o A biological perspective-what is going on with a person from a physical or biological standpoint. o Psychological perspective- how does stage affect how the person thinks about himself, etc. self-esteem, learning to think (Piaget) o Social perspective (membership in families, groups, organization)- how does the person interact with others, learning about rules of society, learning about rules in the family, socialization), etc. In other words, how does the issue affect the person′s biological, psychological, and social development? IV. Identify a local social service agency that provides services to address the issue you identified. What are at least three social work roles that would be beneficial in addressing the issue you identified in #2. V. Use at least 5 concepts from your text in your paper.
