You needed to include the ports of lading and unlading especially since the products typically are not made in cities where the ports are located. “South America” is a continent. Then from the ports of unlading how are they transported to the distribution centers in the US. The states you listed are in North America or more specifically the United States with the exception of the one you noted in Ontario which is in Canada. For the section on their distribution center operations you needed to cover the number of shipments typically shipped to stores in a given week or month. You have some information on their distribution center processes which helps to understand how the products are prepared for distribution to their stores. Does Gap have their own trucks or are they using 3rd party trucking services and perhaps who do they use. Glad you include BIPOS but what about orders that are shipped directly to the customer – where are those processed and what are the types of transportation offered to the customer? A couple of good examples of technology that they use with the robotics in their DCs and the POS system. Anything else as applies to Supply Chain Management or Product Development?
