Comment on the content of the article: does it provide accurate, up-to-date information that is realistic? Comment on the soundness of research design, and whether the content has a rationale supported by data or is an opinion, etc. Provide the basis for your conclusions, Discuss the study design used by focusing on the strengths and weaknesses possible threats to validity.
d) Comment on your agreement or disagreement with the author; whether the research is congruent with other research on the topic or in the field; whether the scope of content is narrow or broad; the (in)validity of assumptions, etc. You are expected to present high quality arguments in your paper, and thus should go beyond just presenting the limitations raised by the authors themselves. Provide the basis for your conclusions and cite appropriate references.
Incorporate the content of other articles from the course or other up-to-date sources relevant to your topic, in addition to the article you are critiquing. Only cite sources that you have at least looked at; avoid citing sources already provided by the author(s) of the article you are critiquing, unless they are especially relevant to a point you make.
State the contribution you feel this article will make to the field of public health in general.
