Make sure to also review the materials on rewilding and then answer the questions below. Include as much detail as possible (and examples, where applicable).
Questions:
1) What electronic devices are essential to your life? How long do you usually keep them? Are our favourite devices ‘planned for obsolesce,’ and if so, why? Is technology leading us to environmental destruction or will it solve the environmental crises that face us?
2) What can we do to solve the e-waste problem? What will it take to make change on this issue? What efforts are people, companies or governments making, if any, and are these enough?
3) What efforts can be taken in Canada to rewild? What might be some impediments to rewilding, and how can they be addressed/solved?
Criteria
answers all parts of each of the questions, posts No mistakes in posts. Good effort.
anything above 8.5/10: Takes on leadership role in conversation, answers all questions fully, asks & answers group members’ questions, clear, well-thought out & correct answers (for non-subjective q’s), no mistakes in spelling or grammar. Makes links with course material. Draws links to interesting examples or points to other helpful resources (articles, videos, pictures) that help understand the topic more fully and explains why they are relevant. References are cited with links.
do not need to do formal APA citation. However, if you refer to someone else’s ideas/statistics/concepts in your post, you need to include a link and be clear that you are referring to another source (“according to X, …”). Be careful to use online sources to support your ideas & arguments, you may not simply rewrite an online article in your own words. Your posts should primarily reflect your own ideas, arguments and understanding, with reference to other material used to enhance the quality of your post and provide evidence to back-up your points.
