This course covers several themes and cultures spanning the globe for over 600 years. Write an essay that discusses each of the following themes (class struggles, gender, the rise and fall of civilizations, and religious ideas evolving and reflecting the socio-cultural identity of the society) as they relate to ALL of the cultures/countries we covered in class. You do not have to cover every detail of every thing, but I want you to include something from each of the cultures and each of the units and give specific examples and details.

Does liberty and the ability to participate in civic roles come at a cost of freedom to others? Is civic engagement a privilege or a right? How are laws and
other primary sources a reflection of belief and value systems.Think critically about major themes in the course content by analyzing
the roots and belief systems of the world’s major religions. How are gender
roles shaped by social and religious belief? What moral or ethical lessons should we
as a society learn from the last 600 years of history? What have we failed to learn that we seem to be repeating and what areas are we making a positive trajectory?What is the social and personal responsibility of the people groups/cultures in
various circumstances? In other words, what can and should people do politically and individually regarding some of the problems their society faced? Give specific examples of sociopolitical problems in which the people had a right and obligation to stand against something that was wrong. What specific actions did individuals or action groups (such as revolutionaries) take?What is YOUR social and personal responsibility for some of the global problems that still exist? Explain how the social and personal responsibilities from other cultures covered in this class are similar and different than our own. How can we implement specific lessons we learned from the past this semester? Analyze consistent struggles of humanity from 1400 CE to today. Has society progressed ethically? In what areas has history repeated itself and in what areas has global society learned from their mistakes?
