Anthropological fieldwork requires the anthropologist to think critically about his or her own cultural practices and beliefs. He or she must be able to reflect upon personal beliefs and values and have those beliefs and values challenged. Choose an issue we have studied in class and discuss how your own beliefs and values have been challenged. Remember you must cite at least two course readings in your essay.
