review the material from the course and find two (2) specific cases where
the course material could be revised in response to Padilla’s challenge. Note that
while Padilla is a scholar of ancient Greece and Rome, you do NOT have to restrict
your examples to architecture from those cultures. Also, don’t focus only on what
is already in the textbook: one of your examples might point out material that was
excluded altogether. Make quick notes for yourself that explain how your two
examples constitute a response to Padilla’s challenge. Among other factors, you
might consider:
• Authorship (who is credited with the production of a building)
• Context (who is a building made for and how does it relate to the culture
and place in which it is produced?)
• What aspects are excluded in the course material?
