Assignment 15 – Georeferenceing the neogeographic Approach
In this Assignment, you will georeference a map from New York Public Library using their online nongeographic crowdsourcing tool. Neogeography is where internet users contribute to geographic knowledge either through indirect means like geotagging or direct means like creating geographic datasets for maps online. In this assignment, you will do georeferencing, which involves making control points from a map that has spatial information to corresponding points on a map that does not have spatial information. This allows for computers to make spatially referenced maps.
