Drama Research Essay
Examine how Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream could help readers better understand current relationship issues. This comedy is quite silly (and rated R), yet Shakespeare’s examination of romantic love and its accompanying upheaval as well parent-child and employer-employee relations is fascinating.
This essay should be at least 750 words and depend on evidence from at least three secondary sources. The works-cited page must include the play, so you will have at least four sources listed.
Your essay should NOT be simply a report on critics’ views of the play. The focus of your essay should be your interpretation of the issue and an analysis of the work. Your readers are reading your essay not only to get information but, first and foremost, to find out your views.
