In this creative preliminary proposal you will cover the relevant data for your case and suggest what you hope to do in order to conduct further research.
This final piece draws upon the work you have done all semester and adds to it in a few specific ways. Ultimately you will incorporate your topic statement, material from your annotated bibliography, with a case that reveals why your proposed research is needed.
The new pieces you will be writing for this final proposal are:
A 8 page case study covering the relevant details of your case to show why your proposed research is necessary. Answer the following questions in this case using the sources you found for your annotated bibliography:
What is the background on this issue in this area or areas?
How are human rights of issue in this case?
How is this case relevant to gender violence research and in what specific ways—here is your theory connection.
Then incorporating aspects of your proposed methodology, lay out your proposal for research in 2-4 more pages.

Describe exactly what you hope to achieve and why this will contribute to knowledge in this field.
In what specific ways will you extend knowledge or synthesize information already collected through your study?
What do you hope to achieve, how, and why?
