Final Exam Fellini’s Roma (Federico Fellini, 1972) & The Great Beauty (Paolo Sorrentino, 2013)
For the final exam you will consider two films, Fellini’s Roma and Paolo Sorrentino’s The Great Beauty, along with the chapter posted on d2l from Ferdinand Addis, The Eternal City (chapter 22, “The Parade”). After reading the chapter, please watch both films and the PowerPoint discussion of the The Great Beauty, then respond to the prompt below in a 2-page essay. In your essay, please use at least two quotes from the Addis article and cite scenes from both films.
Describe two scenes in the Great Beauty that seem to be an homage* to Roma in the cinematic tradition described by Addis.
