Assignment: Your final assignment is a thesis-driven argumentative paper that is supported by academic research and honest inquiry. Now that you have completed your inquiry based literature review, you should be now able to argue a position about the topic you explored.
Argumentative Thesis:
The topic for your final paper should be an argument based off of your inquiry question. Consider the following examples:
If my initial inquiry was: Why have we seen so many recent cyber-attacks?
Then my argumentative thesis might be: as long as private companies continue to rely on old-fashioned data protection methods, they will continue to prove easy targets to hackers.
Research must be from a minimum of FIVE sources, including at least one source from an academic journal. This means you may have to do some more research than you completed for the literature review assignment.
Students must format the essay according to current MLA standards and must include properly formatted in-text citations and a works cited page.
The essay should use an academic voice that follows that conventions of Standard American English.
The essay should be a minimum of 1100 words.
