Analyze the differences in the accounts of the call for the Crusades and the reactions of the Franks and the Arab accounting of it. Then create a specific thesis about the Crusades which you want to prove. You then need to make sure that you underline that thesis statement. Then use examples and analysis of those examples to prove your thesis. These questions should help you form that argument: How is violence justified? How does each side view the other? How do different perspectives of the same event give us different understandings of those events? How do we as historians weigh those different accounts to try to understand the past? (300 word minimum.)
