The 4 required parts of the poster:
1. Describe the communication of Dolphins. Focusing on the naturally occurring language/communication within dolphins species (i.e., not when humans tried to train them), describe the nature of the language (e.g., visual, auditory, both?) and kinds of information that is known to be represented in that language/communication. Give some research evidence (i.e., say a little how it is known that they communicate this way).
Add two image and explain what going on in the image.
2. Complexity of that communication. Describe the syntactic and semantic complexity of dolphin species’ language/communication. Note, if the information known about the specific species you picked is limited, go up to the broader biological category (all kinds of great apes, all kinds of cats, all kinds of sea mammals, …). Give some research evidence to support your claims.
a. Syntax: How well structured is the language/communication of Dolphin (e.g., different parts, consistency of ordering of the parts)?
b. Semantics: How complex an idea can be represented? Add Images also and explain what going on in the images.
3. Learning to communicate that way. Describe what is known about whether and how Dolphins learns language/communication. Are some aspects of language genetically determined? If there are aspects that are not genetically determined, how long does it take members of Dolphin species to become fully proficient? Give some research evidence to support your claims. Add image and explain what going on in the image
4. Function of that communication. For what kinds of tasks does this species depend upon their language? Give at least one kind of problem solving or task that is aided by or critically dependent upon language/communication within members of the dolphins species. Evaluate whether the species could do the task without this language? In what way does the nature of their language/communication influence how they solve the task? That is, is this a case that supports the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis? Give some evidence to support your claims; it might be logical argumentation in some parts, but at the very least support your claims about at least a correlation of the communication with the given task with research. Add image and explain what going on in that image
