Although it is not stated that I should select a healthcare organization from Oman, the Tutor suggested to select an organization from Oman if enough resources are available
1. A) Explain the changes made to structure, processes and procedures before the pandemic and during the different waves of the pandemic. B) Explain how technology facilitated these changes. (Suggested word count for both 1A and 1B – 1000 words).
2. Critically evaluate how does the culture of the organization influence changes of the structure, processes and procedures. You may explain how various elements/dimensions of culture such as power distance, uncertainty avoidance and time orientation influenced the changes to structure, processes and procedures. (Suggested word count – 500 words).
3. Critically evaluate 3 new strategies adopted by the organization during this time period highlighting success/failures and your suggestions for further improvements. In selecting the 3 strategies you may cover the areas of innovation, service quality, human resources or any other area impacting organizational performance. (Suggested word count – 1,000).
4. Critically analyze the ethical and social challenges faced by the organization and how they were addressed. You may also suggest further actions to be taken to improve the situation. (Suggested word count – 500).
5. How do you suggest to improve your managerial roles to cope up with the challenges faced by your organization? You may use the competing values framework (Quinn et al., 1988) and elaborate areas to be improved in your role as a mentor and a coordinator by explaining the relevant competences and actions to be taken. (Suggested word count – 1000).

1.B Excellent explanation with adequate justifications as to how technology facilitated the changes in org. structure, processes and.10 marks. Question 1.A and 1.B cover LO1.
2. Excellent identification, analysis and discussion of how does the culture of the organization influence changes of the structure, processes and procedures considering various dimensions of culture such as power distance, uncertainty avoidance and time orientation. – 10 marks. This question covers LO 1 and LO2.
3. Excellent evaluation of 3 new strategies adopted by the organization during the pandemic highlighting success/failures and your suggestions for further improvements. 30 marks. This question covers LO2, LO3 & LO4.
4. Clear identification of ethical and social issues. 5 marks
Further actions suggested to address those issues. 5 marks. This question covers LO1 and LO4.
5. A) Excellent understanding of the Competing Values Framework and how it could be used to assess where you are in respect of your job role, the demands of the organization and its stakeholders. 15 marks.
5. B) Suggested corrective actions to improve your managerial competences as a mentor and a coordinator as relevant to health care leadership role you play in the organization. 15 marks. Question 5 A) and 5 B) cover LO3 and LO4.
