The purpose of this activity is to construct inductive and deductive arguments. You will also have the opportunity to explore issues of causality and certainty. Most of us have been approached on the street or on campus by pollsters toting clipboards and asking for our views about a particular topic or product. Discuss the problems with this methodology for getting a representative sample. Present a polling methodology to remedy these problems. Present the argument in both inductive and deductive form. Assess the validity and soundness of the arguments.
