Case/Homework questions must be answered in paragraph form, and numbered. One sentence answers to each case question are not acceptable as it does not show your reasoning and analytical critical thinking skills. Try to incorporate as much class and textbook materials as possible when answering the questions. Use the materials from classes, online and the textbook to support, explain and reinforce what you are stating. Proper spelling and grammar is important in business communications and points will be deducted for cases with umpteen spelling and grammatical errors.
ASSIGNMENT
1. Looking at an organization in one of the CASES do you think the benefits that are mentioned are appropriate for the employees? Why or why not? What additional benefits would you add? Why or why not?
2. Using an organization in one of the CASES name and describe 3 benefits that you believe would be appropriate to recruit/motivate/retain the employees in that organization. Explain clearly why you have chosen each particular benefit. What 3 benefits do you believe would be least appropriate at the same organization. Again, explain your answer.
3. Look at Figure 12. 1. Which legally required benefits do you think are most troublesome for organizations to offer to employees? Why? Which voluntary benefits do you think are most troublesome for organizations to offer to employees? How could organizations change these benefits to make them less troublesome?
