Compare different crimes and the penalties our criminal justice system. In chapter 15 (this week), we talk about white collar crime, cyber crime, and commercial crime. Much of this crime is very different than the other more violent crimes that we have covered thus far such as homicide, assault/battery, sexual assault, theft/robbery/burglary, etc. Compare and contrast these two different types of crimes – who are the victims? Are they sentenced differently? Should they be sentenced differently? Are victims made whole in different ways? Etc.
