The problem I chose is “How can we generate electricity without burning fossils?” and burning fossils is a huge problem because when fossils are burned, they mostly release carbon dioxide and other stuff, which heats up our atmosphere most of the time. And it contributes to global warming. Hydrothermal fluids, primarily steam, are used in dry steam plants. The steam is carried straight to a turbine, which drives an electric generator. Steam replaces the requirement for fossil fuels to power the turbine (also eliminating the need to transport and store fuels. The pros and cons of fossil fuels: Fossil fuels are not renewable energy sources. Fossil fuels pollute the environment. In the case of irresponsible use, they can be dangerous Easier to store and transport. It is really cheap. It is more reliable than renewable energy.
