1) First, in your own words, describe what is happening in each of the four stanzas of “The Road Not Taken.” 2) Next, describe the differences between the two roads using quotes from the text. Include the line numbers when quoting. 3) Lastly, “The Road Not Taken” is one of the most cited poems in all of literature because many of us, at some point, have looked at two paths (metaphorically) and had to decide between them. Give an example from your life when you’ve had to make a decision about which “path” to take. Which one did you decide on? Did you decide on the one that you could more clearly see, or the one that was “grassy and wanted wear” (line 8)? There is no right answer and we’ve all likely done both.
