Write an informative essay and the topic I chose was jellyfish babies from the Marshall Islands. Marshallese women have consistently given birth to infants with severe health defects and deformities causing them to look jelly-like. These babies do not live longer than a few days. In fact, the mothers are kept from seeing the infants before they are put to rest because it is considered inhumane. I wanted to emphasize the United States’ involvement in these occurrences due to the nuclear testing at Bikini Atoll which is near the island of Rongelap. In the paper could you introduce the history of Bikini Atoll and Rongelap, the effects of nuclear testing on the inhabitants of Rongelap (specifically the women and their children), and how the Marshallese people are affected by these circumstances today.
