In this section, you will either explain a solution that has been proposed by someone else, or propose a solution that you came up with. However, if you propose a solution that you have come up with, you have to make sure that nobody else has also proposed it. When referring to solutions proposed by other people, you may refer to the solution as “…Mary Smith of XYZ company proposed that this could be fixed in this way….”, or “a group of X was formed to address this problem and they suggested ABC”, or “some progress has been made towards fixing this by Mary Smith or XYZ company, etc.
For each solution you describe, you need to point out any shortcomings, or things that may prevent the proposed solution from working.
You must meet the minimum word count of 500 for this section. After the punctuation at the end of the last word in the section, include the number of words that you included in the section, not including the section header, in parenthesis
The entire document must be in Times New Roman, 12 pt font, 1.5 line spacing, 1 inch margin on all 4 sides. • Footer on each page, centered, Page X of Y (e.g. Page 2 of 4), with .5 footer margin. It is okay if the page number appears on your cover page, although I would prefer that it does not. • The document must have a cover page: Centered on the page, 4 lines – (1) Your name, (2) MMI 580, (3) White Paper Assignment, (4) Either “Problem Statement”, “Root Cause Analysis”, or “Final Paper”, and (4) Fall YYYY (e.g. Fall 2018)
