Write a research paper on hypersexualization of young men and women in Japanese anime
Within my discourse community, those that belong to this multicultural and diverse environment can be identified as avid watchers, readers of manga, cosplayers, and even fanfiction writers of the anime genre. A topic pertaining to the discourse community I have decided to analyze is the over-sexualization of female characters in Japanese animated movies and television. This area of strife within the community is just as prevalent as their selective media advertisements that aim to entice their viewers through explicit content with unrealistic and skewed interpretations not only of women, but young men as well. Another topic that I intend to delve further into is how computer technology has made way for unparalleled advancements in animation as a whole, and has evolved to make way for greater forums of creativity and influence. Lastly, I look forward to researching peer viewed sources that detail the rise of manga, moreover how fan based fiction work gained in popularity because of the anime genre, thus inspiring a whole new era of writing and mediums for those that want to bridge the gap between what they watch, and what they read.
