Media review is going to be over the game Red Dead Redemption, especially the newer game from 2018. Begin with a brief overview of the media (one long paragraph, including its date, creators, purpose, target audience, and the context in which it was created) and then compare a specific portion of it (2-4 topics) with the actual history (i.e. the real town of Strawberry, Arizona with the video version), the characters and events. research the author(s)/creator(s) of the media or book source analyze the sources used in the creation of the media or writing of the book locate scholarly review(s) of the media or book source using JSTOR, Academic Search complete, or Google Scholar locate journal articles or academic books which examine the same subject(s) as the book or media source write a paper which compares the media/book portrayal of the historical subject with that of secondary source academic monographs or journal articles (use sources available on JSTOR and from the Ottenheimer Library, as well as your course readings), analyzing reasons for similarities and differences. *Note: History vs. Hollywood articles do not count as scholarly secondary sources. Do not use them in your review. locate relevant primary sources (either ones used by the creator of the source, or ones that relate to topics in the source) and compare them to the way in which history is depicted in the source.
