1. Describe the qualifications necessary for the modality (ex: level of education, type of ARRT certification and any licensing required for the United States). 2. Identify and describe the type of equipment used to perform exams within the modality in great details to include the type of radiopharmaceuticals used in types of radiation. How is the image created? What type of radiation is use and how is it converted to images for viewing. 3. Identify and describe the type of electromagnetic energy used to create images within the modality (ex: x-ray, soundwaves etc, energy level/wavelength on the EM spectrum) 4. Describe the type of images (digital, cross sectional etc.) created using the modality. 5. Describe the general responsibilities associated with the modality. What does someone working in that modality actually do? 6. Describe the safety precautions associated with the modality to the radiographer and to the patients.
