Question-1 (2 pages): Standardized testing is big business in the US. Many students have test anxiety as a result of the pressure of taking these tests and the meaning these tests have on their future. Why do some students test well on standardized tests, such as SATS, while others do not? What type of intelligence do these type of tests test? How can we be sure a test has validity and reliability? Question-2 (2 pages): Define the concept of motivation. Define the concept of needs. Abraham Maslow had a theory on motivation, Hierarchy of Needs. Define his theory, along with examples of each level of his hierarchy. David McClelland also researched needs, and he found that we all have certain needs, however the degree to which we have them varies.
