Reflecting on the role of music in your life, think of a song (or songs) that you relate to, that helps shape your identity, means (or meant) something to you, motivates/inspires you, and what you think the song mean to you or say about you.
The important thing here is to focus on the music that relates to you and helps define you in some way. Why do you love it? What does that say about you? What do you hope it says about you? Using your ability to break down a down into its parts, what music elements support the song’s meaning? How do they do this (or are they contrary to the meaning)?
