Aim: To assess the ethical and unethical research-based depictions of African American sexuality, within the male oriented community, and the impact of miseducation versus empirically based research data to inform this vulnerable community. Purpose: The researcher will explore social norms which have influenced the exploration of sex and gender expression among African American Gay, Bi-Sexual, Queer and Men who sleep with Men (MSM). The research aims to define these areas of study and provide recommendations for further research to support this vulnerable community. Further, to explore social constructs which threaten the safe progression of these topics within primary and sub-cultural environments, which further prevent the healthy lifestyles of these ostracized communities.
