Module 5: Activity G – Traits of Safety & Risk Professionals Using the 16 Personality Factors of Cattells 16PF model discussed in this unit, make brief notes about the extreme of each trait that you think are most suitable for a successful Safety & Risk Professional. Can you think of any examples, either from your own experience or well-known safety & risk professionals, who DO NOT display some of these traits but are never-the-less very effective? Module 5: Activity H – Training vs Education You have been asked to prepare a training session on manual handling for new workers in a warehouse. Make a table with four columns. In the first column (entitled Aspects), list SIX aspects you could include in the training session. In the second column (entitled Training) make notes beside each aspect as to how best to train the delegates in this aspect. In the third column (entitled Education) make notes beside each aspect as to how best to educate the delegates in this aspect. In the fourth column (entitled which is the best method?) write down Training or Education. Briefly discuss which you consider to be the best approach training or education, or both. For the preparation of your list of aspects of manual handling training you are expected to reference Regulations, Guidance or another reliable source dont just make up a random list of aspects.
