M04 Discussion – SQL Server security

This week for discussion, we will talk about SQL Server security. At this point, my assumption is that you have already read through the description of SQL Server security and listened to my lecture.
As a SQL Server DBA you are working on a project to role out a finance application. What are some of the factors you have to keep in mind as far as SQL Server security is concerned?
Important information to answer the above question:
Window active directory domain is in use
200 Users
Some modules in the application have their own users needing read/write access to certain tables
Data will be refreshed every month in the TEST environment for development purposes
