One research paper (30%). The research paper must be between 4,000 to 5,000 words inclusive of references.
Guidelines: The paper must be a maximum between 4,000 to 5,000 words (inclusive of references), and single spaced with Times New Roman size 12 font. You must also include a reference section in the Chicago Manual of Style.
Use local, regional, and/or international literature as the premise of your arguments to answer one (1) of the two (2) research questions outlined below:
Question 1: In the name of deterrence, legislation has been passed in Trinidad and Tobago (The Administration of Justice (Electronic Monitoring) (Amendment) Act, 2020), allowing for offenders, potential offenders and individuals on bail to be monitored electronically. This is premised on the belief that if these offenders know they are being monitored, they will be less likely to offend/re-offend. Discuss whether you agree or disagree with the use of Electronic Monitoring in Trinidad and Tobago as well as the rationale for your decision.
