a) Background/beginnings: How did your role models manage to attain that position/career/level of practice? Is it possible to trace the structures, relations and outputs that allowed these role models to get where they are?
b) Values: What kind of values and behaviours is their position based on? Is their sense of purpose (or mission) determined by public visibility? By income? By recognition from peers?
c) Sectors/clients/audiences: What milieu (socio-economic context / design sector) are they contributing to with their work? Who do your role models serve with their practice? What imaginaries are they reinforcing?
d) Impacts: What effect would their success’ produce for others? Who benefits from it? Who might lose out? Think about QBL impacts! (Human-centred design).
3. CONCLUSION (150 words)
Which of these structures, relations and outputs do you value, and which not? Are they accessible to a wide range of people?
