2. Read the article by Wen, Hudak, and Hwang (see references below). Put yourself in the
homeless persons shoes. Would you seek out healthcare treatment? Explain your answer
with facts from the article.
3. Why do you think healthcare providers discriminate against homeless, uninsured, an
underinsured people? Explain.
4. Research health programs and health policies in your state that protect the uninsured and
underinsured populations. How easy or difficult do you think it would be to apply for
insurance without a permanent address?
Writing the Case Study Analysis
Begin with an introduction that identifies the key concepts and issues and provides a brief
summary of the case
The second section should cover background information and research on key issues
In the body of the paper, provide answers to the questions given within the case in
paragraph form – one paragraph per question. Use outside research to support answers
where needed.
Discuss any additional alternatives to the problem and proposed solutions or
recommendations
