Look at the topic and write the answer to the question on the thesis line. Then, pick 3 ideas to support your thesis (these may be reasons OR causes OR effects OR solutions, based on the topic you chose). Put those 3 ideas on the topic sentence lines. Then, go back into the article from class and the one you found on your own and find one quote/paraphrase from each source to go with each of your supporting paragraphs and write them on the outline. (You should have a quote/paraphrase from both authors in paragraphs 2, 3, and 4, so at least 6 quotes/paraphrases total). You can fill in the rest of the outline if you’d like, but the only required parts are the thesis, topic sentences, and quotes that you could use. You can also use 3 internet sources that you find through a search engine like google, but make sure they are valid sources. They should be from online magazines/newspapers or publications from an organization, government agency, or school. Do not use personal webpages, postings from a biased group/company, a blog, posted comments, etc. NEVER use Wikipedia as a source.
Use Savage and Vaids It Gets Better and one other source to describe the challenges facing this population.
