You will organize a meeting of key stakeholders at your project site to share what you have learned and as a team develop a theory of action to address the problem of practice. To prepare for this meeting, you will need to prepare a PowerPoint presentation to guide the discussion. Once you have completed the meeting, you will document the outcome of the meeting, including feedback from stakeholders on decisions, required changes, and improvements.
Developing a PowerPoint Presentation
Develop a PowerPoint presentation to share with the stakeholders at the project site that includes a summary of the information you have gathered in your meetings with the various individuals or groups on site and how you have used that data to develop a draft theory of action for the problem of practice. The meeting is a time to work together as a team to vet the theory of action draft you have developed and further develop your theory of action to arrive at specific actions you will take to address the problem of practice at the project site.
What to Include in the Presentation
An effective presentation will include the following at a minimum:
Introduce the problem of practice.
Describe any performance gaps that exist. Include an overview of the root causes of the problem of practice previously identified. Describe specific actions that will reduce or eliminate the effects of one or more of the root causes.
Describe why these specific actions will lead to the desired results.
Describe what assumptions are being made regarding the problem, causes, context, environment, stakeholders, et cetera.
Describe theory of action.
Include a possible timeframe for implementing your plan for addressing the problem of practice.
Discuss next steps.
