For this essay, I’d like students to reflect on whether or not you think Zarathustra has achieved the status of the Overman by the end of “Thus Spoke Zarathustra”. Students should use the themes and criteria explain in the text to analyze whether or not Zarathustra’s actions fit those of the Overman. If Zarathustra has achieved the Overman, what has he done what is necessary of an Overman? If not, what does he still have to do? Or if he’s somewhere in between, what has he done, and what still needs to be done?
This essay should be at minimum 4 pages, in MLA format and include a Works Cited page. All of your drafts should be as close to final draft quality as possible.
