This week’s writing assignment is on the topic of curriculum. This assignment will help you pick out your curriculum that you will be using in your final project. Please respond to the following questions!
You must answer the questions in your own words using complete sentences. Do NOT cut and paste the answers from the textbook.
1. According to this week’s reading and NAEYC, what are key indicators of a developmentally appropriate curriculum?
2. What does it mean when a curriculum is child-centered? Make sure to also provide an example in your response.
3. Research time- Complete an internet search on what types of preschool curriculums are available. Provide 3 curriculums you came across and write a few sentences about each one describing whether you think it is developmentally appropriate or not based on the descriiption provided by the curriculum. I will provide the first curriculum you can use- Creative Curriculum. The other two you must discover on your own by searching the internet for preschool curriculums.
