Explain why are you taking this course? What are some of your fears, concerns, and expectations in taking a women’s studies course? What do you hope to get out of this course? Explain to the best of your ability, what is the academic discipline “women’s studies?” Please discuss the history of the women’s movement in respect to the goals of the first, second, and third waves of the feminist movement. (Discuss a minimum of two goals per wave) Discuss what you believe to be the top five (5) advancements during the women’s movement. Discuss each event in detail and explain why you chose these events as significant. Finally explain which issue(s) might still need to be addressed to maintain gender equity in our contemporary society.
