Overall Descriiption
The Health Communication Campaign assignment asks you to develop an original health communication campaign for a health issue of your choosing. This assignment provides you an opportunity to use what we have learned about health communication and to apply that understanding through written and visual means. First, you will identify and explain a health issue using relevant scholarly sources. Next, you will identify the target population for your campaign and explain why that population is particularly important. Following this, you will develop original health messages using a variety of different media and these messages will serve as the primary means through which you will communicate with your target population about this issue. In addition, you will explain relevant health communication theories and/or scholarly research articles and apply those sources to your campaign. Lastly, you will develop a presentation in which you summarize the written portion of your campaign and showcase your health messages.

Learning Objectives
Through the Health Communication Campaign, you will be able to do the following:
Identify health issues facing multiple communities
Communicate carefully and clearly in a variety of media, including: oral presentation, written documents, social media, and visual platforms.
Develop health messages/campaigns that effectively communicate health messages to those communities.
Analyze and evaluate the impact of specific health issues on communities.
Describe the impact of interpersonal, cultural, organizational, mediated, technological, and public/rhetorical influences on health and risk communication.
Part 3 Descriiption
For Part 3 of the Health Communication Campaign project, you will develop original health messages using a variety of different media and these messages will serve as the primary means through which you will communicate with your target population about this issue (i.e., Part 4 of the project). To do this, you will need to create at least 2 different health messages that you will use as part of your campaign and a short descriiption that explains the messages. Your messages could be in a variety of media, including: print advertisement, poster, radio PSA, TV PSA, or another format that would be conducive to communicating your messages.
