A particular type of social influence is called compliance. Compliance refers to our tendency to go along with another persons direct request. People are sometimes resistant to simply going along with a request, but there are several techniques described in Chapters 6 and 7 that people can use to overcome that resistance.
FOR THE PAPER: Pick any two of these techniques and do the following: (1) Provide a brief description of the technique in your own words and (2) explain how you could use the technique to convince someone to wear a mask indoors during the pandemic.
