Incorporating the authors we have explored (as well as others if you are so inclined), make an argument about some of the most exciting developments in fiction written by Latinas. You should discuss at least two authors as well as at least one scholarly source discussing Latina fiction. No reading outside the class is required, but is not discouraged either. Format: 2 pages double spaced, 12 Font, Times, MLA works cited Sample Outline: I. Introduction- Option A Discuss the Latina fiction field using the readings we have done from The Routledge Concise History of Latino/a Literature (available Lehman Library online book). Highlight major developments, literary elements, themes, etc. you think are important. If you prefer, you can also use other readings youve done outside of class or from other classes. Option B Start in medias res by sharing an aspect of a novel or short story we have read that you think illuminates a key development in Latina fiction.
